Thrissur Pooram (Malayalam: തൃശ്ശൂര്‍ പൂരം) is a popular temple festival of the South Indian state of Kerala. It is held at the Vadakkunnathan Temple in Thrissur town every year on the 'Pooram' (Malayalam: പൂരം, pronounced) day of the Malayalam Calendar month of 'Medam'. 'Pooram' day is the day when the moon rises with the Pooram star. People celebrate pooram without any religious difference.The circular road around the poora parambu(പൂര പറമ്പ്) is known as Swaraj Round(സ്വരാജ് റൗണ്ട്) will be filled with the pooram lovers. And it is a good time for street vendors.
